Scooter Libby Scooting
So the federal judge that sentenced Libby appended a lengthy comment to the sentencing order stating that stated his sentence for Libby was on the light side of the mandatory guidelines. With that news I offer an abbreviated (and annotated) transcript of the exchange.
Judge: Libby you're going down (lightly - I'll say 2+ years is on the light side for treason since the constitution carries the death penalty for the only crime specifically detailed in said constitution (yes I know he wasn't tried for treason but Daddy Bush signed a law stating outing an agent was treason. And being an accomplice to a treasonous act is itself treason.) So on the scale from 2 years to death 2+ years is pretty light)
Bush: Sike! You're too mean.
Judge: Um no! Look at the rules you fascist morons forced on us. (Speaking of Fascist Morons. Alberto Gonzales is right now trying to rewrite the rules so judges have to adhere to the guidelines even more strictly. Ironic that)
Bush: It was "Fair and Balanced" (All makes sense now. In a Fox News, Rupert Murdoch kind of way anyway. Mr Franken I'll let you take this one.)
