Oh Give Me a Home...

I am once again in the embrace of the high semi-desert. I ave successfully navigated my way from the Semi-rainforest. There has been some adjusting and it will continue for a few weeks, but all in all it’s good to be home. I have taken a job with an instructional design arm of a mega-consulting firm and in the first few days cannot help but feel as though they have taken
lesson creation and turned it into some mammoth Orwellian machine. To say that their process is structured would be equivalent to calling the U.S.S.R a brief experiment in social control. But the people are smart, dedicated, helpful and attractive. Add to that the view of the mountains from my desk and I’d have to say I traded up. There’s a bit of a commute through Denver, but compared to the 2 hour drive followed by a three hour flight – it’s a walk down the block.
