America: Spreading Democracy Around the...Hey Wait, That's not Who I Told You to Vote For!

Apparently President Bush and the Neocon Family Band believe in America's mission to spread democracy to the Middle East as long as the people vote for an approved candidate. News out of the Palestinian Authority reveals that the Hamas government is resigning in favor of a coalition to ease international (read U.S.) embargos. Let's get this straight, the Palestinian people duly elect a government and Bush declares them terrorists, takes his ball and goes home. Sorry folks I have to call Bullshit! Of course no one in Network Lapdoggery will bring this up whenever the dumbass spouts off about how we're spreading democracy around the world. Sorry Georgie you can only cite democracy if you're OK with leaving it up to the people. But I guess you wouldn't know too much about that since you haven't been duly elected since running for governor of Texas.

Yeah, I'm happy for the Chicks, too. I've pretty much stopped listening to country music, I was once a big fan, but in the past five or 7 years country music has become nothing but a bunch of bad easy listening with a twangy guitar and a nasal voice thrown in. Counry music in general is for artists who can't make it in the real world. That's why the Chicks' victory is extra sweet, as you point out. Check out a band called The Wreckers. They're two girls who are very reminiscent of the Chicks. You'd probably like them.

Congrats on all your news. Espeiclally the engagement. BTW, I actually root for the Avs now and again, like when they're playing the Flames (who I don't like) but more accurately whenever them getting points or denying other NW conference teams any points is good for the Canucks. And speaking of the Canucks (cool seguey, huh?), rumor has it now that we have the best goalie in the league. Talk about a long time coming.
