Let's do it again
So let's all get in the way back machine together. Back...back...back... to 2005 when the press was hammering those nutjob conspiracy hippie lefties that claimed that a war with Iran and or Syria was next. Damn dirty Hippies, they're crazy right...
If Riiiiiight.
The Presidentfuhrer has been trying to build a palatable case for war with Iran for the last
year and a half or so. "They're interfering in Iraq; they are attempting to develop nucular weapons; Amenidijad is a big fat weenie who likes Hugo Chavez. " Those sound a little like a pot and kettle to me (well not the last one I get the distinct impression that Bush and Chavez have their differences. It's a gift - I sense things.) Yes, Iran is violating the non-proliferation treaty, but can you say Anti-Ballistic Missile.
Now the juicy part. Bush's pit bull ex-UN Ambassador John Bolton, that no talent Ass Clown, yesterday stated that the only way to prevent Iran from fulfilling it's nuclear (he at least speaks English) ambitions is..... wait for it....yep.... "Regime change." I thought Bush said his administration was not in the business of regime change. Curious. I'm assuming they don't expect to ask nicely if Amenidijad could kindly step down. So...wait... it's all coming together now...War with Iran. To draw a parallel he also mentioned regime change in Sudan to stop the genocide. That's basically the same thing. A place where the government is looking the other way/encouraging the wholesale slaughter of a ethnic people numbering in the millions and a state we don't like who some day may threaten Isreal (who has many nukes we gave them and would wipe out Iran in response). I admit I can't tell thetwo situations apart. Twins from different mothers.
Gentle readers, the only thing good in all that is being able to say ex-ambassador.
Listen I don't blame the Neo-cons they've got two wars going on already and those are going so well why not enlarge your enterprise. Or maybe they're thinking "third time is a charm." I'm sorry did I imply Neo-con and think in the same paragraph.
